Green Arches (2004–2005)

This series is based on photographs of a group of green metal arches that support the West Side Highway at the southern tip of Riverside Park. Although I grew up not far from this area, I did not discover the arches until recently. I was struck by the grace and color of these utilitarian structures. I combined my photographs in Photoshop to create this composition.
